# Photo Ink Echo

A customized Codex Skill for creating restrained photography-and-watercolor editorial compositions.

This version emphasizes one clear primary subject, a very small watercolor memory motif, expansive negative space, pale supporting traces, controlled fragmentation, quiet typography, and a restrained editorial atmosphere.

## What It Does

The skill transforms a photograph into a vertical composition containing:

- the original photograph
- a very small watercolor memory motif with one clear primary subject
- one poetic English title

The source photograph remains the only visual reference. The abstract panel is derived from its real colors, spatial relationships, silhouette, structural rhythm, and visual hierarchy.

## Visual Direction

- fixed 9:16 vertical format
- strict 1:1 upper and lower split
- original photograph preserved in the upper half
- warm ivory lower panel
- one clear primary subject plus only 2–4 quiet supporting cues
- approximately 3–5 total visual relationships
- very small motif and approximately 82–90% visual silence in the lower panel
- transparent watercolor treatment
- light, fragmented, pale washes with controlled incomplete edges
- supporting elements visibly lighter and less complete than the primary subject
- no full-scene watercolor rendering or miniature complete painting
- no auxiliary construction lines or perspective guides
- no large opaque color masses
- one very small English title
- quiet and restrained editorial character

## Installation

Copy or clone this repository into the Codex skills directory:

## Core Principles

1. The uploaded photograph is the only visual source.
2. Keep the photographic region faithful to the original.
3. Make every major abstract element traceable to a real feature in the photograph.
4. Select exactly one primary subject and only 2–4 supporting cues.
5. Keep the motif very small and incomplete while preserving clear subject recognition.
6. Treat large warm-ivory negative space as part of the composition.
7. Exclude full-scene reconstruction, auxiliary lines, blocks, vignettes, and poster-like treatments.
8. Keep the watercolor light, transparent, delicate, and unfinished.
9. Keep typography minimal.

## Privacy

Before publishing a public repository, inspect every file and example image for personal information, credentials, private computer paths, private file names, hidden metadata, and EXIF GPS data.

Only include example images when the repository owner has the right to publish them.

The published examples use descriptive filenames and have been re-encoded without EXIF, GPS, or embedded color-profile metadata.

This project was inspired by [`photo-abstract-editorial`](https://github.com/ZzzLc0405/photo-abstract-editorial) by ZzzLc0405 and adds custom rules for composition, watercolor abstraction, motif scale, negative space, typography, color treatment, and visual restraint.

As of the repository preparation date, the upstream repository does not expose a `LICENSE` file through GitHub. This repository therefore does not redistribute upstream example assets or unchanged source files.

The original material in this repository is released under the [MIT License](LICENSE), copyright 2026 zhouaria28-cloud. The MIT License applies only to content the repository owner has the right to license; it does not grant rights to third-party material.
