# 3D Surface Plotting in JavaScript! #

This JavaScript code allows one to plot 3D surfaces. WebGL is used to take advantage of hardware accelerated graphics to provide smooth interaction and nice visuals such as shading and lighting.

Download the code and take a look at example.html to see how.

Tested in Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari. See example.html in the download.

## Features ##

* **pure JavaScript** implementation. **No need for Flash**.
  * **rotation** - left-click and drag the mouse to rotate the surface
  * **scaling** - hold down the shift key and drag the mouse to scale
  * defaults to use the [canvas version](http://code.google.com/p/javascript-surface-plot/) when WebGL is not available
  * custom axis titles
  * customisable **colour gradients**
  * **view coordination** to simultaneously rotate multiple surface plots
  * **animation** of the surface when plotting a new data set
  * **hardware-accelerated** rendering via cutting edge WebGL implementation
