Cursor agent skills for open-source triage: fetch contribution docs from a public GitHub repo, and export open issues (including "good first issue") to JSONL for offline or LLM review. Skills live under `skills/`; `.cursor/skills` symlinks there.

## Skills layout

Agent skills live in the **`skills/`** directory at the repository root. That keeps a single canonical location for skill folders and files (for example, each skill in its own subdirectory with a `SKILL.md`).

For Cursor, **`.cursor/skills`** is a symlink to **`../skills`** (the root `skills/` folder). Cursor resolves skills from `.cursor/skills`, so edits under `skills/` are what the editor and agents use—no duplicate copies to maintain.

If you clone the repository on Windows, ensure symlinks are enabled (for example, `git config core.symlinks true` and Developer Mode or appropriate permissions) so `.cursor/skills` resolves correctly.

- **`github-contribution-intel`** ([`skills/github-contribution-intel/SKILL.md`](skills/github-contribution-intel/SKILL.md)) — given a public GitHub URL, collect README, contributing guidelines (Markdown or reStructuredText, including `CONTRIBUTING.rst` and `docs/contributing.rst` when present), **bounded in-repo link expansion** from those seeds (so stub files that only point at the real guide still pull useful content), code of conduct, license, security policy, and related templates into **`agent-artifacts/github-contribution-intel/<run-id>/`** (see the skill for layout and caps). Run `python skills/github-contribution-intel/scripts/fetch_github_intel.py "<url>"` from the repo root. GitHub REST calls use **`GITHUB_TOKEN`** / **`GH_TOKEN`** if set, otherwise **`gh auth token`** when available. The `agent-artifacts/` directory is gitignored.

- **`github-open-issues-export`** ([`skills/github-open-issues-export/SKILL.md`](skills/github-open-issues-export/SKILL.md)) — export **open issues** (not PRs) from a public GitHub repo into **`open-issues.jsonl`** plus **`open-issues-good-first-issue.jsonl`** (same rows filtered by the **good first issue** label, no extra API calls) under **`agent-artifacts/github-open-issues-export/<run-id>/`**, including title, labels, body, comment count, and **last comment** per issue. Run `python skills/github-open-issues-export/scripts/export_open_issues.py "<url>"` or `OWNER/REPO` from the repo root. The script uses **`GITHUB_TOKEN`** / **`GH_TOKEN`** if set, otherwise **`gh auth token`** when the GitHub CLI is logged in, so large exports usually stay within API limits.
