# Monthly Statistical Report (MSR) Generation – eProcurement Automation

## 📌 Project Overview

This project is a **Spring Boot + Vue.js** based web application built during my internship at **NIC, Chennai**, designed to automate the generation of **Monthly Statistical Reports (MSR)** for the eProcurement system. The goal is to eliminate manual effort, ensure accuracy, and provide centralized reporting across multiple state databases.

## 🎯 Key Objectives

* Automate procurement data extraction from multiple **PostgreSQL databases**.
* Generate **professionally formatted Excel reports** using **Apache POI**.
* Provide a **web-based admin interface** for database configuration and report triggers.
* Improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

## 🔁 Workflow

1. **Admin adds DB details** via UI (State/Region DB credentials).
2. System connects to each **PostgreSQL DB** and executes SQL views.
3. Data is aggregated and structured into a **single MSR dataset**.
4. **Apache POI generates a formatted Excel file** with grouped data, totals, merged cells, and header styling.
5. File available for **download via web UI**.
