# Anker Solix Display Card

A Home Assistant Lovelace custom card that replicates the front-panel OLED
display of the **Anker Solix Solarbank Max AC**: digital-style digits,
segmented battery brackets, and a bottom light bar that changes color based
on charging state.

## Features

- SOC %, Input, Output shown with a bundled seven-segment digital font
  (DSEG7 Classic, SIL OFL — no external font requests)
- Auto W → kW switching for Input/Output once a value hits 1000 W
- Bracket/segment tick-comb gauges around the SOC to mimic the physical unit
- Bottom bar color driven by device status:
  - **Idle** → blue
  - **Charging** → green (subtle pulse, matching the unit's "spreads from
    center" charging LED behavior)
  - **Discharging** → orange (solid, matching the unit's solid discharging
    LED behavior)
- Click the lightbulb icon to dim the whole screen (mimics the physical
  screen on/off button — this is a local UI toggle only, it doesn't control
  the real device)
- Icons use Home Assistant's built-in Material Design Icons — no extra
  resources or dependencies to install

## Installation

### HACS (recommended)

1. HACS → Frontend → ⋮ → Custom repositories
2. Add this repo URL, category **Dashboard**
3. Install "Anker Solix Display Card"
4. Add the resource if not added automatically:
   `Settings → Dashboards → Resources → /hacsfiles/anker-solix-card/anker-solix-card.js` (type: **JavaScript Module**)

### Manual

Copy `anker-solix-card.js` into `www/anker-solix-card.js` and add as a
Lovelace resource:

The digital font is embedded directly in the JS file as base64, so there's
no separate `fonts/` folder to install — copying just the one `.js` file
is enough for a manual install. (The `fonts/` folder in this repo is kept
only for the font's license attribution — see [License](#license) below.)

## Configuration

No YAML required — add the card through the dashboard UI ("Add Card" →
search "Anker Solix") and the built-in editor lets you pick each entity
from a dropdown (Home Assistant's native entity picker), plus color pickers
for the three status colors. This is what makes it usable by anyone
regardless of what their entities happen to be named.
