# Installation Guide

1. Get the code

git clone https://github.com/SteamedBread2333/dctc

Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.

cd dctc

Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.

2. Official Install Script

Easy Recommended

Prerequisites

Node.js Node.js must be installed to use npm.

npm install -g dctc

Installs the package published on the npm registry globally — no need to clone the source.

✅ After installing, open a new terminal and run the program's version command (e.g. --version) to confirm it worked.

Pulled directly from this repo's README.

3. Node.js

Prerequisites

Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
Node.js Node.js must be installed to use npm. The LTS version is recommended.

npm install -g dctc

Installs the package published on the npm registry globally — no need to clone the source.

✅ After running the command, open the address shown in the terminal (usually something like http://localhost:3000) in your browser.

## Usage
```
dctc [options] <file>
```

## Options
```
-h, --help                    display help for command
-v, --version                 output the version number
-c, --compiler <name>         specify compiler: es, swc, rollup, rolldown (default: es)
```

## Installation

npm install -g dctc

## Example

### Step 1: Create Source Files

Create a `src` directory and add the following files:

#### `src/index.tsx`

import React from 'react';
import Header from './components/Header';
import Footer from './components/Footer';

const Page: React.FC<{ fontColor: string }> = (props) => {
  return (
    <div style={{ color: props?.fontColor || '#fff' }}>
      <Header />

#### `src/components/Header.tsx`

### Step 2: Create a tsx script file

#### `/generate-html.tsx`

### Step 3: Enter the following command

dctc generate-html.tsx
```

Or specify a compiler:

```shell
dctc --compiler swc generate-html.tsx
dctc --compiler rollup generate-html.tsx
dctc -c rolldown generate-html.tsx
```

#### The `page.html` file has been generated, and it looks like this

Please make sure to update tests as appropriate.

## Scene
Some scenarios where you need to compile and execute tsx. 
- Developed using react, and needed to generate an html template for email.
- When you want to preview a react component, but there is no suitable playground.

## Performance (ASCII)

Benchmark setup:
- Entry: `test/generate-html.bench.tsx` (same as `test/generate-html.tsx`, but does **not** write files)
- Per compiler: **compile 1x + execute 10000x**

## Notice
If you need to load the style file, perform an additional loader and eventually insert the style into the html template in the product, but the email template does not support external style import.
