# Installation Guide

1. Get the code

git clone https://github.com/vlio20/angular-datepicker

Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.

cd angular-datepicker

Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.

2. Node.js

Easy Recommended

Prerequisites

Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
Node.js Node.js must be installed to use npm. The LTS version is recommended.

npm install

Downloads and installs the libraries listed in package.json.

npm start

Starts the development/run server.

✅ After running the command, open the address shown in the terminal (usually something like http://localhost:3000) in your browser.

This is a configurable date-picker build for Angular applications.

## Installation:  
1. Download from npm:  
`npm install ng2-date-picker --save` 
2. Import the `DpDatePickerModule` module:    
 `import {DpDatePickerModule} from 'ng2-date-picker';` 
3. Add `DpDatePickerModule` to your module imports:

```ts  
 @NgModule({ ... imports: [ ... DpDatePickerModule ] })
 ```  
4. Add `@import '~@angular/cdk/overlay-prebuilt.css';` to your global styles (usually styles.(scss/sass/css/less). You could also add it via the angular.json file under the styles attribute:

## Usage  
Put the dp-date-picker component wherever you need it.

## Locale  
In order to change the locale you will need first to import the locale you want to work with and apply it to the Dayjs object. More information about this can be found in the dayjs documentation [here](https://day.js.org/docs/en/i18n/changing-locale).  
**Note:** The locale is set to `en` by default. If you change the locale after the first initialization of the date-picker then you will need to reinitialize the date-picker.
