# Getting Started
Marketscrape is easiest used with [Visual Studio Code](https://code.visualstudio.com/) in a [Docker](https://www.docker.com/) container using the [Dev Containers](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ms-vscode-remote.remote-containers) extension. More information about installation can be found [here](https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/devcontainers/tutorial).

### Clone the repository
```bash
$ https://github.com/Marketscrape/marketscrape.git
```

### Docker Desktop
Download and install [Docker Desktop](https://www.docker.com/products/docker-desktop/)

### Start Docker
Run the Docker Desktop application to start Docker

### Install the extension
The Dev Containers extension lets you run Visual Studio Code inside a Docker container

### Build the Dev Container
In Visual Studio Code:
- Command Palette `(Ctrl + Shift + P)` and select `Dev Containers: Open Folder in Container...`
- Select the cloned repository

### Run the application
To run Marketscrape run `python manage.py runserver` in the Dev Container
