# File Upload with React, Node.js, and AWS S3 Multipart Uploads

## Overview

## Installation
1. Clone the repository:
```bash
   git clone https://github.com/Caesarsage/aws-multipart-uploads-react-node.git
   cd aws-multipart-uploads-react-node
```

1. Install dependencies for frontend and backend:

```bash
   cd client
   npm install
   
   cd ../server
   npm install
```

3. Set up environment variables:
   - Create a `.env` file in the `backend` directory:
  
```bash
     AWS_ACCESS_KEY=your-aws-access-key
     AWS_SECRET_KEY=your-aws-secret-key
     AWS_REGION=your-aws-region
     S3_BUCKET=your-s3-bucket-name
  ```

4. Start the development servers:
   - In one terminal, start the frontend:

```bash
     cd client
     npm start
```
   - In another terminal, start the backend:
  
```bash
     cd server
     node app.js
```

1. Open your browser and navigate to `http://localhost:3001` to use the application.
