# <img src="./art/icons/icon16.png" alt="Friday Night Funkin'" width="24" /> funkin.lua > [!NOTE] > This only works for LÖVE 12.0 and above, you can download it from the main [LÖVE GitHub Repository](https://github.com/love2d/love) [Actions](https://github.com/love2d/love/actions). > [!IMPORTANT] > To clone this repo, use the following command: > ```bat > git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/swordcube/funkin.lua funkin-lua > ``` > Otherwise [LÖVE](https://github.com/love2d/love) will most likely have trouble opening the project! A modding framework for Friday Night Funkin', made *entirely* in the [Lua](https://www.lua.org/) programming language via [LÖVE](github.com/love2d/love)! If you prefer [Lua](https://www.lua.org/) or come from another VSRG with [Lua](https://www.lua.org/) scripting support (i.e. [NotITG](https://www.noti.tg/)), and want to have a go at modding Funkin', you could try this project out! Funkin' and the small framework ([chip.lua](https://github.com/swordcube/chip.lua)) i've built for this project are separated from each other, meaning if you want to use chip in other projects, you can freely do that! Just give some crediting to me and I'll be perfectly okay with it! ## 👋 Hey! Listen! If you're interested in this and *somehow* haven't heard of Funkin' itself already, go check it out on [GitHub](https://github.com/FunkinCrew/Funkin) or [itch.io](https://ninja-muffin24.itch.io/funkin)! ## 📗 Libraries \* means that the library has been modified/made by someone else or by me specifically for this project \~ means that the library has been wrapped to be usable for Lua - classic\* by [rxi](https://github.com/rxi) - https://github.com/rxi/classic - json\* by [rxi](https://github.com/rxi) - https://github.com/rxi/json.lua - xml\* by [Stilic](https://github.com/rxi) - https://github.com/Stilic/FNF-LOVE/blob/main/loxel/lib/xml.lua - lua-discordRPC\* by [Joel Schumacher](https://github.com/pfirsich), & [Semyon](https://github.com/semyon422) - https://github.com/pfirsich/lua-discordRPC - lua-tinyfiledialogs by [Ralty](https://github.com/Raltyro) - https://github.com/Raltyro/lua-tinyfiledialogs - tinyfiledialogs by [Guillaume Vareille](https://sourceforge.net/u/vareille/profile/) aka [u/asparata](https://www.reddit.com/user/asparata/) - https://sourceforge.net/projects/tinyfiledialogs/ - native* by [Ralty](https://github.com/Raltyro), & [Fellyn](https://github.com/fellynYukira) - https://github.com/Raltyro/FNF-Aster/tree/main/lib/native
