# AAU LaTeX Report Template (Modified Version)

This repository contains a modified version of the **AAU report template** originally created by  
**Jesper Kjær Nielsen (Aalborg University)**.  
Modifications and updates by **Viktor Kirk Almann Hansen** (2025).

The template is distributed under the terms of the **GNU General Public License v3 (GPL-3.0)** or later.  
See [LICENSE](LICENSE) or <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/> for details.

## Getting Started

1. **Download this repository** as a ZIP file from GitHub (`Code → Download ZIP`).  
2. **Import the ZIP file** into [Overleaf](https://www.overleaf.com/).  
3. In Overleaf, set **`master.tex`** as the **Main Document** in the project menu — otherwise, the document will not compile.  
4. You **cannot compile** the project if you are currently viewing or editing `preamble.tex`.

## Tips & Guidelines

A list of useful tips and formatting rules can be found in  
`section/1. introduction.tex`.  
Make sure to read it before you start writing your report.

## Overleaf Pro Access

Use your **university email address** when signing in to Overleaf - this gives you access to the **Overleaf Pro** version for free.

## References

For managing references, I recommend using **[Zotero](https://www.zotero.org/)**.  
It’s an excellent and user-friendly reference management tool - definitely worth checking out!
