# animated-flow-ts

**animated-flow-ts** is a [flow visualization](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flow_visualization) application built on top of the [ArcGIS API for JavaScript](https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/) and [custom WebGL layer views](https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/api-reference/esri-views-2d-layers-BaseLayerViewGL2D.html).

## Features

- A custom WebGL layer compatible with `MapView`.
- Visualize flow using animated streamlines.
- Support for UV and MagDir [imagery tile layers](https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/layers-imagerytilelayer/).
- Can be used in conjunction with [blend modes and layer effects](https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/intro-blendmode-layer/).

## Instructions

1. Clone the repo.
2. `npm install`
3. `npm start`
4. Point your browser to `http://localhost:3000`

## Requirements

- Notepad or your favorite code editor.
- Web browser with access to the Internet.
