## Installation

### MANUAL INSTALLATION

Copy the ecotrend_ista [last Release](https://github.com/Ludy87/ecotrend-ista/releases) folder and all of its contents into your Home Assistant's custom_components folder. This folder is usually inside your /config folder. If you are running Hass.io, use SAMBA to copy the folder over. If you are running Home Assistant Supervised, the custom_components folder might be located at /usr/share/hassio/homeassistant. You may need to create the custom_components folder and then copy the localtuya folder and all of its contents into it Alternatively, you can install localtuya through HACS by adding this repository.

### INSTALLATION mit HACS

1. Ensure that [HACS](https://hacs.xyz/) is installed.

4. Restart Home Assistant.

## Basis Configuration

1. Go to HACS -> Integrations -> Click "+"
2. Search for "ista EcoTrend" repository and add to HACS
3. Restart Home Assistant when it says to.
4. In Home Assistant, go to Configuration -> Integrations -> Click "+ Add Integration"
5. Search for "ista EcoTrend" and follow the instructions to setup.

ista EcoTrend should now appear as a card under the HA Integrations page with "Configure" selection available at the bottom of the card.

## Supported portals and Czech data

The integration supports the German portal at `ecotrend.ista.de` and the Czech portal at `ecotrend.ista.cz`. Select the matching portal during setup; Czech accounts can use the ista username shown for the account.

Existing German portal accounts continue to use the original German API client, data parser, and sensor creation path. Czech-specific API handling is activated only for entries configured with the Czech portal (`cz_url`).

Czech portal support is an unofficial community implementation. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by ista and relies on the backend used by the ista EcoTrend customer application, which may change or restrict access without notice. Use it only with an account and data you are authorized to access.

For Czech accounts, the integration provides cumulative physical meter readings, the latest available daily and monthly consumption, and a **Data available through** sensor. ista may publish Czech readings several days late. The integration keeps the actual measurement dates and does not present delayed data as today's consumption.

Because Czech readings are delayed and historical data is fetched during updates, the default 24-hour update interval is recommended.

Daily Czech history is backfilled into Home Assistant external statistics. If ista later corrects an older reading, the integration updates that day and recalculates the following cumulative statistic points.

Water consumption is reported in m³. Heating allocator readings are reported in allocation units, not kWh. Physical meter entities show a cumulative reading, while daily and monthly entities show consumption for the corresponding period.
