## About LBDflix

**LBDflix** is a dynamic movie application that gives a variety of movies, movies details, and trailers. It is packed with movie collections for every movie lover and it also recommends movies to users. It is an open source project and open to developers, designers, writers, movie enthusiasts to collaborate and learn.

## Getting Started

### Prerequisites

- Node.js

- npm
  ```sh
  npm install npm@latest -g
  ```

### Installation

1. Get a free API Key at [The Movie Database](https://developer.themoviedb.org). Learn about the API [here](https://developer.themoviedb.org/reference/intro/getting-started)

1. If you do not know how to get your API Key, an article on [How to Get Your TMDB API Key for LDBflix Contribution](https://dev.to/codexive_zech/streamlining-your-contribution-how-to-get-your-tmdb-api-key-for-ldbflix-contribution-52gf) is available.

### Contribution steps

You can work on it locally,

1. [Fork](https://github.com/lambeboluwatife/lbdflix) this repository
2. Clone the repo

```console
 $ git clone git@github.com:<your github username>/lbdflix.git
 ```

3. Navigate to the cloned directory

```console
   $ cd lbdflix
   ```

4. Install dependencies

```console
   $ npm install
   ```

5. Start the project on `localhost`

```console
   $ npm run dev
   ```
