## About

This repository contains the **Dozzle Agent** add-on for Home Assistant.

**Current version:** `0.3.23` (Dozzle `10.6.1`)

[Dozzle Agent](https://github.com/amir20/dozzle) is a backend agent for Dozzle that allows monitoring Docker containers remotely from a main Dozzle instance.

This add-on runs **only** the Dozzle agent (backend, no UI) on port 7007. It is designed to be used with a main Dozzle instance that connects to this agent.

## 🛠 **Installation**

1. **Open the Home Assistant Add-on Store**:  
   📌 [Access the Store](https://my.home-assistant.io/redirect/supervisor_store/)

2. **Add this repository**:
   ```
   https://github.com/Erreur32/homeassistant-dozzle-agent
   ```

3. **Search for "Dozzle Agent"** in the Add-on Store

4. **Install the add-on** and wait for the process to complete

5. **Start the agent**

## Configuration

### Basic Options

```yaml
# Log level (debug, info, error)
log_level: info

# Agent hostname (optional, appears in Dozzle UI)
hostname: ""

# Custom TLS certificates (optional, restrict who can connect)
agent_cert: ""
agent_key: ""
```

## TLS / Security

The agent communicates via **gRPC over TLS** - traffic is always encrypted. By default, the certificates are **shared across all Dozzle installations** (embedded in the binary), meaning any Dozzle instance that knows your IP:port can connect.

### Custom certificates (recommended)

To restrict connections to only **your** Dozzle instances:

1. **Generate a certificate pair:**
   ```bash
   openssl genpkey -algorithm RSA -out dozzle_key.pem -pkeyopt rsa_keygen_bits:2048
   openssl req -new -x509 -key dozzle_key.pem -out dozzle_cert.pem -days 3650 \
       -subj "/CN=dozzle"
   ```

2. **Copy both files** to your Home Assistant `/ssl/` directory.

3. **Configure the add-on:**
   ```yaml
   agent_cert: "dozzle_cert.pem"
   agent_key: "dozzle_key.pem"
   ```

4. **Use the same cert/key pair** on your main Dozzle instance. Only instances sharing the same certificate can communicate.

> **Note:** The `/ssl/` directory is already mapped read-only in this add-on.

## Usage

### Connecting from Main Dozzle Instance

1. The agent listens on port **7007**
2. From your main Dozzle instance, connect to this agent using:
   - Host: `[HA-IP]` or `[HA-Hostname]`
   - Port: `7007`

### Docker Compose Example

```yaml
services:
  dozzle:
    image: amir20/dozzle:latest
    environment:
      - DOZZLE_REMOTE_AGENT=192.168.1.200:7007
    ports:
      - 8080:8080
```

### Multiple Agents

You can connect to multiple agents:

```yaml
environment:
  - DOZZLE_REMOTE_AGENT=192.168.1.200:7007,192.168.1.201:7007,192.168.1.202:7007
```

**Note**: The agent does NOT have a web interface. It's a backend service that responds to connections from Dozzle instances.
