# Palia for MacOS

Easily run the Windows-exclusive game, Palia, on MacOS with our launcher.

## Installation

You can easily install our launcher:

1. [Download the latest version of the launcher](https://github.com/DanMossa/paliaOnMac-release/releases).
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

## Requirements

- **Processor**: ARM-based Mac (Apple Silicon). Not compatible with Intel-based Macs.
  - To check your Mac's processor:
    1. Click on the Apple logo in the top-left corner of your screen.
    2. Select "About This Mac".
    3. Look for the "Chip" or "Processor" entry. If it says "Apple" followed by a series of letters and numbers (e.g., "Apple M1"), you have an ARM-based Mac.
  - Alternatively, download and open the launcher. If your Mac is not supported, it will display a "not supported" message.

- **Operating System**: MacOS Sonoma or newer. Here's how you can get it:
  - From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar, then click Software Update on the right.
  - Or in earlier versions of macOS, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Software Update.
  - Or use Spotlight  in your menu bar to search for “Software Update,” then open it from the search results. 
 
## Troubleshooting

- **Error 424 upon login**: This error indicates that your game version is outdated.
  - **Solution**: Close the game, click "Update" on the launcher, and then run the game again.
