Kavis Pentest Tool is a modern, GUI-based web application security scanner built with **Python (Flask)** and a **React + Vite + Tailwind** frontend. It performs automated security analysis on websites and web applications, providing real-time scanning, detailed reports, and a professional dashboard.

## 📦 Installation

### **1. Clone the Repository**

```bash
git clone https://github.com/mr-bala-kavi/kavi-pentest-tool.git
cd kavi-pentest-tool
```

---

## 🐍 Backend Setup (Flask)

### **2. Install Python Dependencies**

```bash
pip install -r requirements.txt
```

### **3. Run Backend**

```bash
python app.py
```

Backend will run on:

```
http://localhost:5000
```

---

## 💻 Frontend Setup (React)

### **4. Install Node Dependencies**

```bash
npm install
```

### **5. Start Frontend**

```bash
npm run dev
```

Frontend runs on:

```
http://localhost:8080
```

---

## 🔗 Connecting Frontend & Backend

Make sure `API_URL` in the frontend points to:

```
http://localhost:5000/scan
```

You can update this in:

```
src/pages/Home.tsx
src/pages/Scanning.tsx
```

---

## 📊 Output & Reports

After a scan:

* Results appear in `/results`
* Full HTML report in `/report`
* All results are stored temporarily in browser localStorage
