# Installation Guide

1. Get the code
git clone https://github.com/lbryio/lbrycrd

Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.

cd lbrycrd

Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.

2. Official Install Script

Easy Recommended
Prerequisites
  • APT (Debian/Ubuntu ๊ณ„์—ด) Built into Debian/Ubuntu-based Linux distributions.
  • Homebrew A package manager for macOS/Linux.
sudo apt install build-essential git libtool autotools-dev automake pkg-config bsdmainutils curl ca-certificates

Installs directly from the APT package repository (Debian/Ubuntu-based).

sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev libicu-dev libssl-dev libevent-dev \

Installs directly from the APT package repository (Debian/Ubuntu-based).

sudo apt-get install clang llvm git libtool autotools-dev automake pkg-config bsdmainutils curl ca-certificates \

3. Docker

Prerequisites

  • Docker Desktop Needed to build and run containers. Install it and keep it running in the background.

Runs the built image as an actual container.

4. CMake
