Open train.py and app.py in editor (you already have train.py open).

Open integrated terminal:

View > Terminal
(should start at D:\Project\Source Code)
Create a Python venv (only once):

py -3 -m venv .venv
(or py -3 -m venv venv)
Activate venv in terminal:

Windows: .venv\Scripts\activate (or venv\Scripts\activate)
macOS/Linux: source .venv/bin/activate
Install dependencies:

pip install flask flask_sqlalchemy pandas numpy scikit-learn openpyxl werkzeug
Check if model files exist:

dir svm_upi_model.pkl scaler_upi.pkl
If missing, run training next.
Run training (one-time if needed):

python train.py
Output should show “Model saved” etc.
Run the web app:

python app.py
Terminal shows: * Running on http://127.0.0.1:5000/
Open browser from VS Code:

Click URL in terminal (best)
or press Ctrl+Shift+P, type Open in Browser, paste http://127.0.0.1:5000
or run command: Start-Process "http://127.0.0.1:5000" in PowerShell
Use app pages:

http://127.0.0.1:5000/register
http://127.0.0.1:5000/login
http://127.0.0.1:5000/predict
Stop app:

In terminal, Ctrl+C
