# Polkadot Blockchain Academy

The Polkadot Blockchain Academy is an intensive educational program teaching Blockchain, Substrate and Polkadot to talented developers. The program has evolved from big in-person campus cohorts that lasted up to 5 weeks into the **Protocol Builders Program (PBP)**, a project-driven format where students build real applications on the Polkadot stack in 2 weeks.

## Protocol Builders Program (PBP)

PBP is a two-week intensive program combining foundational lectures with hands-on project work. Students learn the core curriculum and then build a working product on the decentralized stack, producing hiring-level deliverables by the end of the program.

### Syllabus

The curriculum is organized into five modules covering Fundamentals, Polkadot, Substrate, FRAME and XCM.

### Projects

Student projects are a first-class part of the program. Each student builds a backend, a frontend, and deploys to the decentralized stack.

### Venue Suggestions

This curriculum is designed to be taught as an in-person course with ~25-60 students. The venue should provide:

- Overhead projector that all students can easily see
- Aisles for instructors to easily move among students to answer questions or help debug
- Group work stations where student groups of 5-10 students can gather
- A large whiteboard for instructors to share diagrams
- Internet connection that can support >10Mbps while all students are connected
- LAN connection that allows P2P connections to start a private blockchain network
