깃허브에서 프로젝트 코드 전체를 내 컴퓨터로 내려받습니다.

cd node-token-authentication

방금 내려받은 프로젝트 폴더 안으로 이동합니다.

2. Node.js

사전 준비물

Git GitHub에서 프로젝트 코드를 내려받으려면 필요합니다.
Node.js npm 명령어를 쓰려면 Node.js가 설치되어 있어야 합니다. LTS(장기지원) 버전을 추천합니다.

npm install

package.json에 명시된 라이브러리들을 내려받아 설치합니다.

npm start

개발/실행 서버를 켭니다.

✅ 명령어 실행 후 터미널에 나타나는 주소(보통 http://localhost:3000 형태)를 브라우저에서 열어보세요.

# Node Token Authentication

This repo uses JSON Web Tokens and the [jsonwebtoken](https://github.com/auth0/node-jsonwebtoken) package to implement token based authentication on a simple Node.js API.

This is a starting point to demonstrate the method of authentication by verifying a token using Express route middleware.

## Requirements

- node and npm

## Usage

1. Clone the repo: `git clone git@github.com:scotch-io/node-token-authentication`
2. Install dependencies: `npm install`
3. Change SECRET in `config.js`
4. Add your own MongoDB database to `config.js`
5. Start the server: `node server.js`
6. Create sample user by visiting: `http://localhost:8080/setup`

Once everything is set up, we can begin to use our app by creating and verifying tokens.

### Getting a Token

Send a `POST` request to `http://localhost:8080/api/authenticate` with test user parameters as `x-www-form-urlencoded`.

### Verifying a Token and Listing Users

Send a `GET` request to `http://localhost:8080/api/users` with a header parameter of `x-access-token` and the token.

You can also send the token as a URL parameter: `http://localhost:8080/api/users?token=YOUR_TOKEN_HERE`

Or you can send the token as a POST parameter of `token`.
