# BloonsPlayer
BloonsPlayer is a screen scraping tool for scripting and playing Bloons Tower Defense 6. 
If you want to contribute your scripts to the project join the [discord](https://discord.gg/uJfudc3RfV).

# Dependencies
BloonsPlayer supports python 3 on Windows and requires
[PyAutoGui](https://pypi.org/project/PyAutoGUI/), [PIL](https://pypi.org/project/Pillow/), 
[scipy](https://pypi.org/project/scipy/), [OpenCV](https://pypi.org/project/opencv-python/), 
and [pypresence](https://pypi.org/project/pypresence/). 
Run the following command to make sure these packages are all installed.
```
pip install -r requirements.txt
```
In game, the hotkeys must be set to default, auto start must be on, and placement must be set to drag and drop.

# Usage
The BloonsPlayer code can be found in the src folder. 
A precompiled executable can be found in the latest release.

It should be noted that while the script is running your computer will not really be usable, 
as the script needs to occasionally input keystrokes and take control of your mouse. 
Besides directly killing the program by exiting or killing execution in your IDE, 
you can move your cursor to any corner of your monitor which will eventually trigger PyAutoGui's built in fail-safe.

# GUI
The BloonsPlayer GUI main menu consists of a list of available TAS scripts on the left, 
and a list of selected TAS scripts on the right.
The buttons between allow the user to customize the list of scripts to run.  
-The right arrow copies any scripts selected on the left to the end of the list on the right.  
-The left arrow removes any scripts selected on the right from the list of scripts to run.  
-The up arrow moves any scripts selected on the right up one place within the list.  
-The down arrow moves any scripts selected on the right down one place within the list.

At the bottom of the main menu, there are the following buttons.  
-The "Display mouse position" button, when pressed, 
will display the relative coordinates of your mouse in place of its text.
During this time, if the mouse is held still for 2 seconds while on the computer's main monitor, 
the displayed position will also be copied to the clipboard.  
-The "launch btd6" button will launch BloonsTD6 assuming it knows the path to your steam executable.
-The "GO" button will set the bot going on the scripts which you've specified

The menu bar at the top has the following sub-menus  
-The "File" sub-menu holds various utilities for script handling.  
-The "Filter" sub-menu allows the user to filter down the list of scripts on the left.  
-The "Options" sub-menu allows the user to alter some functionality of the bot.  
-The "Theme" sub-menu allows the user to customize how the GUI looks.  
-The "Events" sub-menu allows the user to run various specialized programs 
which hunt for rewards during BloonsTD6 events. The specifics of this can be altered in `data\dicts\egg.txt`.

While running scripts, the GUI displays only two buttons.  
-The "Back to bot Menu" button cancels the currently running script and returns the GUI to the main menu.  
-The "Exit" button cancels the currently running script and closes the GUI.

# Scripting
The scripts for BloonsPlayer are stored in the `data\tas\\` directory.
Each script consists of a list of commands separated by a single newline. 
The script file name is interpreted as the title of that particular script.

## Command overview
All commands follow the format of a command word followed by command arguments.
Anything after a # sign in the command will be ignored.
The arguments of each command should be separated by commas, parentheses and spaces will not affect the arguments.
Commands are not case-sensitive.
The first command must be top open the track with arguments of track name, difficulty, and mode respectively. 
The second command and onward do not have special requirements, 
but it should be noted that unless the "start round" command is specified, 
the tas will start the game automatically after the second command is executed
(unless game mode is deflation).
This means that usually the second command will be to place a tower that can be immediately afforded.

### First command, opening the track
The first command should be the "open" command and should follow the following format.
```
open monkey meadow, easy, standard  # specify map, difficulty, and mode to open
```
This command can also optionally specify a hero, which the bot will then make sure is selected when the track is opened.

### Placing a tower
The "place" command is used to place a tower. The arguments are: the type of tower, 
the relative placement coordinates, and a unique name for the monkey which will be used in later commands.
The coordinates should be two floats between 0 and 1, for the x and y position. 
To find these coordinates reliably, use the print mouse position button in the BloonsPlayer menu. 
Note that the place commands will automatically wait for sufficient funds to place the specified tower,
but this can be shut off by adding an optional fourth argument.

The valid tower types are:
* "hero": whichever hero is selected
* "dart": dart monkey
* "boomerang": boomerang monkey
* "bomb": bomb shooter
* "tack": tack shooter
* "ice": ice monkey
* "glue": glue gunner
* "sniper": sniper monkey
* "sub": monkey sub
* "boat": monkey buccaneer
* "plane": monkey ace
* "heli": heli pilot
* "mortar": mortar monkey
* "dartling": dartling gunner
* "wizard": wizard monkey
* "super": super monkey
* "ninja": ninja monkey
* "alchemist": alchemist
* "druid": druid

### Delays
There are four types of delays: time, money, round, and life. 
Time delays wait the given amount of time in seconds, the syntax is an integer or float. 
Money delays wait until you have a given amount of cash, the syntax is "money \<number>". 
Round delays wait until you reach the given round, the syntax is "round \<number>". 
Life delays wait until you drop to a certain number of lives, the syntax is "lives \<number>".

### Upgrades
The "upgrade" command upgrades a given tower. 
The first argument is the name of the tower to upgrade which will have been specified in the "place" command.
The next arguments are integers specifying which paths to upgrade, 1 being top, 2 middle, and 3 bottom. 
Unlike tower placement, this function does not require other delay functions 
and will automatically wait until you have enough money to buy a particular upgrade. 
Note that heroes are upgraded in the same way, except the number of times upgraded can be specified by the number of 
arguments, or if there's one argument the value of the argument.

### Geraldo's Shop
The "gerry shop" command allows the bot to purchase items from Geraldo's shop. 
This will automatically wait for sufficient funds unless a "no delay" argument is specified. 
The other arguments are as follows.  
In the case of items that are towers, one should specify a position and a name.  
In the case of items that are buffs, one should specify the name of the tower to apply it to.  
In the case of items that are track objects, one should specify a position.

The valid items and their type are:
* "shooty turret" : tower
* "nails" : hurdle
* "creepy idol" : tower
* "pickles" : buff
* "rare quincy" : tower
* "invis potion" : buff
* "glue" : hurdle
* "sharpening stone" : buff
* "worn cape" : buff
* "blade trap" : hurdle
* "hot sauce" : buff
* "fertilizer" : buff
* "pet rabbit" : buff
* "rejuv potion" : effect
* "genie bottle" : tower
* "paragon" : tower

### Changing targeting
The "target" command changes the targeting of the given tower. 
The first argument should be the name of the tower to change.
The second argument should be the number of times to change the targeting, 
note that this is equivalent to hitting the right arrow button. 
In the case of the mortar tower, a position must also be specified.
In the case of the dartling gunner, a position may also be specified when using locked targeting.

### Activated abilities
There are four commands regarding activating abilities.  
The "use ability" command simply activates the given ability once.  
The "repeat ability" command will repeat the given ability once every second until the round ends.  
The "stop ability" command cancels all currently repeated abilities.  
The "stop all abilities" command cancels all currently repeated abilities.  
All of these command will simply press the key they are given, 
so they can be used for keys other than abilities. 
The default ability hotkeys are "1234567890-=".

```

### Changing priority
The "priority" command changes the target priority of the given tower. 
This is the camo target priority option that some monkeys have and the plane flight direction option.

### Selling a tower
The "sell" command sells the tower specified by its name.

### Removing an obstacle
The "remove" command removes a course obstacle at the given position.
This does not wait until you have enough money, so one will likely need to accompany it with a delay as well.

### Click
The "click" command simply clicks at the given relative coordinates.
This can be used to activate map gimmicks, or anything really.

### Move
The "move" command simply moves the mouse to all given coordinates in the given timespan. 
Note that the initial position of the mouse is only take into consideration if only one set of coordinates is given 
If the timespan given is 0 the mouse will instantly jump to the given coordinates.  
The "repeat move" command repeatedly performs the given move when the mouse is not otherwise in use
The "stop move" command ends any currently repeating movement.
This is most useful for money collection.

### Changing speed
The "change speed" command changes the gameplay speed by hitting space.

### Start round
The "start round" command allows you to have multiple commands occur before the bot starts the round.
If not used, the program will automatically start on its own after the first command. 
Adding the `slow` parameter will make the bot not immediately hit fast-forward, 
which can be useful when timing is tight.

### Toggle autostart
The "toggle autostart" command allows you to toggle autostart in the menu. 
This can be useful when many commands need to be executed in a tight time frame

### Send rounds
The "send rounds" command allows you to send rounds in a race script. 
It will press the button to send a round as many times as you specify in the first argument.
