# Online-Appointment-Management-System
This is for DBMS Lab project

OVERVIEW:
Online Appointment Management System is a computerized management system. This system keeps the records of the Online Appointment being booked in this organization. The proposed system will keep a track of different appointment details including the doctors and clinic details. This project has GUI based software that will help in storing, updating, and retrieving the information through various user-friendly menu-driven modules. The project “Online Appointment Management System” is aimed to develop to maintain the day-to-day appointments. Main objective of this project is to provide appointments and clinic details to customers. This software application will help admin to handle customer information, doctor details and clinic details. Detailed explanation about modules and design are provided in project documentation. The existing system is a manually maintained system. All the appointment records are to be maintained for the details of each customer, doctor details, appointment registration, etc.

For patients:

-Register as an patient account

-Booking an appointment

-Cancelling an appointment

-See their booking status

-See doctor availability

-Search clinic and doctor

For Admin:

-Add doctor/clinic/manager in database

-Delete doctor/clinic/manager from database

-Show all doctors/clinic/manager

-Assign doctor to a clinic

-Assign Manager to a clinic

Software Requirement:

-Php server like (XAMPP, WAMP) etc.

-MySQL for database

-Web Browser supporting HTML5 and js: Google Chrome(recommended) / Firefox

Step-wise instructions:
 1. Download the zip file of this repository
 2. Unzip the folder 
 3. Place the folder into htdocs of xampp folder (C:\xampp\htdocs)
 4. Open database/appointment.sql file 
 5. Import it to the wamp/xampp folder (Note: Username for phpmyadmin is ‘root’; password is ‘’)
 6. Opening file for the project is Home.php
 7. Admin and user login can be done in the same page
 8. To login as admin, use initial credentials (Note: Username is admin, password is admin)
 9. Logout will directly redirect the user as well as admin to home page
 10. dbconfig.php contains the data for the connection of the localhost to the database of phpmyadmin. Login credentials for phpmyadmin can be restructured there as well.
