# Useful online apps for devs & creative people

This is a collection of online tools you will find usefull. No matter who you are, there's something for you. List might expand in the future.

Please note : 
 - Those tools aren't mine, it's just a list
 - Some of these website have more tools that those I linked here, I don't talk about them because they're covered elsewhere.
 - If you want to add one, just open an issue in this github repository.
 - Always check the miscellaneous section because you might find something you thought was in a specific section but was in fact put there.

 4. [Watermark Remover](https://www.watermarkremover.io/fr) : Remove any watermark from any image. Very efficient.
 5. [Image metadata viewer](https://jimpl.com/) and [Aspose](https://products.aspose.app/pdf/metadata/jpg) : view image metadata, the second one allowing you to edit and add fields, but only for JPEGs.
 6. [Image to Text Converter](https://www.commontools.org/tool/image-to-text-converter-23) : Extract text from an image.
 7. [ExtractTable](https://extracttable.com/?ref=nosignuptools) : Extract table data from images. Free version only allows for 2 queries per day.

 3. [OnlineTextTools](https://onlinetexttools.com/generate-text-unigrams) : All the basic text editing tools, and some funny ones like turning normal lines of text to vertical lines, randomize text case, shuffle letters, crused/glitchy writing. (which you can then copy-paste anywhere)

 5. [Upside Down Text](https://codebeautify.org/upside-down-text) : Write upside down. (which you can then copy-paste anywhere)
 6. [Text to Cursive](https://texttools.org/cursive-text-generator) : Converts text to cursive characters using Unicode.
 7. [Dcode : Write in reverse](https://www.dcode.fr/ecriture-sens-inverse) : Reverse letters of your text. Dcode also has an extended list of hundreds of other tools in all categories like math solving, cryptography,... Doesn't work if you have an adblock.
 8. [Reverse Words](https://texttools.org/reverse-words) :Reverse your words, not your letters.
 9. [Align Text](https://texttools.org/#:~:text=a%20markdown%20text.-,TEXT%20FORMATTING,-Add%20Line%20Numbers) : Artificialy align your text to the left/right/center/justified. There are many more tools on this site.
 10. [ASCII text banners](https://manytools.org/hacker-tools/ascii-banner/) : write your text as big titles displayed in ASCII characters. Lots and lots of styles available. (Also has a tool to convert images to ASCII art)
 11. [Text/Background Contrast](https://toolsdome.com/color-contrast) : tells you how readable is your colored text on your colored background. Very useful for UI design.

 15. [JSON Beautifier](https://www.online-toolz.com/tools/json-beautifier-viewer-and-formatter.php) : Format your Json file as you like.

## Video Editing and Sharing

1. [Magma](https://magma.com/index) : ABSOLUTE BEST online app to store drawings and draw together with your teammates. It's basically Google Docs, but for drawings. Every tool you need is there, even a comments system. I personnally use it for sharing storyboards. Free version has 5GB of storage.
 2. [Dither Me This](https://doodad.dev/dither-me-this/) : Best dithering app. Multiple dithering algorithms, change color palette and reduce file size.
 3. [Sketchpad](https://sketch.io/sketchpad/)  : best drawing app when you're sharing screens in an online call and you want to draw a quick sketch for your teammates.
 4. [GIF to Sprite Sheet](https://onlinegiftools.com/convert-gif-to-sprite-sheet) : Convert a Gif to a spritesheet and conversly.
 5. [Pixelorama](https://orama-interactive.itch.io/pixelorama) : Best Online Pixel Art editor.
 6. [PIXA](https://pixa.pics/) : Pixel Art editor (more like modifier, don't use that for actually drawing) which let you apply filters on your creations among other things.

### Color related

1. [Color Palette/Picker](https://colordesigner.io/) : The best online color picker (I tested them all) with the most features. Select in HSL/RGB/... . It proposes you more tints, shades and tones.
 2. [Gradient Generator](https://colordesigner.io/gradient-generator) : Generates a gradient (custom amount of resulting colors) between 2 colors. You can copy all their values in one go.
 3. [Palette From Image](https://colordesigner.io/color-palette-from-image) : Output a palette from an input image.
 4. [Color Scheme Designer](https://paletton.com/#uid=71y0u0knacPfEl6jagfrG8Lz44S) : The BEST color scheme helper/generator. Every color scheme in one easy to use interface.

1. [POSEMANIACS](https://www.posemaniacs.com/) : HUGE libray of 3D human poses which you can look from every angle.
 2. [PoseMy.Art](https://app.posemy.art/) and [Magic Poser](https://webapp.magicposer.com/) : Online 3D mannequin you can move around to create your own pose. Both have advantages and flaws and a limiting free version. More apps like that exists but I don't think they bring anything that isn't covered by those 2.

 3. [OpenGameArt](https://opengameart.org/) : The BEST website to get and share royalty free assets such as art/music/sounds/... to use for games or other things.
 4. [Itch.io](https://itch.io/game-assets) : Get assets for your game, post your game and join gamejams. The best indie game hosting website.
 5. [GameJolt](https://gamejolt.com/) : The second best indie game hosting website. Post your game, posts your art and joins communities with its the built-in social networks.
 6. [Kartridge](https://developers.kartridge.com/) : Game hosting website. (Haven't tested yet)
 7. [Playerloop](https://playerloop.io/) : Get all your player's feedback at the same place by adding it to your game. 50 first people will get it for free. (I did participate to its Godot version)

 5. [Reverso](https://context.reverso.net/traduction/anglais-francais/) : Best translation app. Gives context sentences / examples.
 6. [Goodreads: Quotes](https://www.goodreads.com/quotes/) : Like a Quote dictionnary.
