# Overview

このモジュールは**ECHONET Liteプロトコル**をサポートします．
ECHONET Liteプロトコルはスマートハウス機器の通信プロトコルです．
Node.js上で動作し、IPv4/IPv6デュアルスタックやマルチキャスト検索をサポートします。

This module provides **ECHONET Lite protocol** for Node.js.
The ECHONET Lite protocol is a communication protocol for smart home devices.
It supports IPv4/IPv6 dual stack and multicast discovery.

**注意：本モジュールによるECHONET Lite通信規格上の保証はなく、SDKとしてもECHONET Liteの認証を受けておりません。
また、製品化の場合には各社・各自がECHONET Lite認証を取得する必要があります。**

## Controller demo

デモプログラムはこんな感じです。動作させるためにはECHONET Lite対応デバイスが必要です。もしお持ちでない場合には**[MoekadenRoom](https://github.com/SonyCSL/MoekadenRoom)**というシミュレータがおすすめです。

For test exectuion, some devices with ECHONET Lite is required.
If you do not have any device, we recommend the **[MoekadenRoom](https://github.com/SonyCSL/MoekadenRoom)** as a simulator.

## Device demo

あとはairconObjのプロパティをグローバル変数として，別の関数から書き換えてもいいですよね．

## 機器番号キー管理テーブル, deviceIDs

`EL.deviceIDs` は **機器識別番号（EPC `0x83`）をキー**にした辞書型テーブルです。
IPv4 / IPv6 アドレスと機器情報（`EL.facilities[ip]` への**シャロー参照**）をまとめて保持します。
`device` フィールドは `EL.facilities[ip]` と同じオブジェクトを指しているため、
どちらから書き込んでも即座に反映され、**メモリの二重消費はありません**。
IPv4 が取得済みであれば `device` は IPv4 側を優先します。

## 初期化と受信, 監視, initialize, receiver callback and observation

- objList is ECHONET Lite object code.
 - for example, ['05ff01'] is a controller.

- userfunc is the your callback function. userfunc is described as following.

## 送信, send

APIは送信の成功失敗に関わらず，TIDをreturnすることにしました。
送信TIDはEL.tid[]で管理しています。
sendOPC1とEL.sendEPCsはEL.tidを自動的に+1します。

ipの指定方法は、
- 文字列で '192.168.10.3' のように記述する方法
- rinfoオブジェクトのように {address:'192.168.10.3', family:'IPv4'} のように記述する方法の両方使えます

### Run tests

プロジェクト内の単体テストは `unitTest` ディレクトリ配下の Jest で実行できるよ。ルートからでも実行できるようにスクリプトを用意してある。

## 受信データの完全コントロール, Full control method for received data.

ELの受信データを振り分けるよ，何とかしよう．
ELの受信をすべて自分で書きたい人はこれを完全に書き換えればいいとおもう．
普通の人はinitializeのuserfuncで事足りるはず．

For controlling all receiving data, update EL.returner function by any function. However this method is not recommended.
Generally, all process can be described in userfunc of EL.initialize.

# echonet-lite.js 攻略情報 / Knowhow

* コントローラ開発者向け

おそらく一番使いやすい受信データ解析はEL.facilitiesをそのままreadすることかも．
たとえば，そのまま表示すると，

Ver. 2.18.1 以降、インスタンスリスト通知(`d5`)や自ノードインスタンスリストS(`d6`)を受信した際、自動的に `EL.facilities` が更新され、プロパティマップも自動取得されるようになりました。
したがって、アプリケーション側では `EL.search()` を呼んだ後、`EL.facilities` の変化を監視するのが最も確実です。

Since Ver. 2.18.1, `EL.facilities` is automatically updated when Instance List Notification (`d5`) or Self-node Instance List S (`d6`) is received.
Therefore, the most robust way to parse the network is to call `EL.search()` and observe `EL.facilities`.

# Troubleshooting / トラブルシューティング

## 機器が見つからない / Devices not found

1. **Firewall / Security Software**:
   - UDP 3610 port must be opened.
   - Multicast (224.0.23.0 / FF02::1) must be allowed.
   - Check Windows Defender or macOS Firewall settings.

2. **Network Interface (Dual NICs)**:
   - If you have multiple network interfaces (e.g., Wi-Fi and Ethernet), ECHONET Lite packets might be going out from the wrong interface.
   - Specify the interface explicitly in `initialize`.

3. **IPv6 Multicast Issues**:
   - In some environments (especially macOS or complex VLANs), IPv6 multicast (`FF02::1`) might fail to find devices if the Scope ID is not handled correctly.
   - Ver. 2.18.1+ handles Scope IDs (e.g. `%en0`) correctly in `EL.facilities`.

## "Search response timeout" in tests

If `npm test` fails with timeout:
- Ensure you possess an actual ECHONET Lite device in your network.
- Or use a simulator like **[MoekadenRoom](https://github.com/SonyCSL/MoekadenRoom)**.
- The default timeout is short; real devices might be slower to respond.

ライブラリ構造の近代化と、使いやすさ・テスト容易性の向上が目標です。

### コールバック -> Promise / async-await
現在の実装は初期化やハンドリングにコールバックを使用しています。
フロー制御向上のため、PromiseベースのAPIを提供する予定です。

- 2.5.0 これから個体識別番号でELネットワーク管理をしたいので，その布石にNodeprofileの個体識別番号を自動生成することとした。macアドレスを利用するので重複しないとおもう。識別番号リストの確保もできるようにした。
- 2.4.2 ignoreMeのときの自IPとして127.0.0.1を排除するように設定。v6は::1を排除する。ignoreMeをデフォルトtrueに。

- 0.0.17 473行以下でプロパティマップを受信した場合の処理を記述していますが、ノードプロファイル以外の場合もこの処理に入ってしまうバグがあります。この修正によりノードプロファイルの場合のみプロパティマップ内のプロパティを取得するようになります。

- 0.0.15 HEX変換をNodeの標準ライブラリにしてくれた．IPv6対応してくれた．
- 0.0.14 EL.sendOPC1の引数の型に関してかなりあいまいに処理できるようにした．seoj, deoj, esv, epcは文字列でもOK，edtは数値も文字列もOKにした．また，esvをわかりやすくするために下記も利用できるように定義した．

- 0.0.12 Node Profile Objectに対するGet関係に対応．facilities構成に関して，ESVがSetとINFREQできたEPCをtoIPデバイスのものとして確保するバグを修正．結構頑張って規格に対応したつもりです．README手直し
- 0.0.11 マニュアルの英語表記追加
- 0.0.10 API追加とBug修正，PropertyMap対応，sendOPC1のEPCを3バイトにしたので0.0.9と互換性きえた．Node.jsからだと家電の速度が間に合わないのでUDPの取りこぼしが発生する．ライブラリとしては対処しないこととなった．．
