## Features

## Installation

### Method 1: Automatic Install (Recommended)

Run the following command in your terminal to download the latest release, install it to your `/Applications` folder, and bypass Gatekeeper automatically:

```bash
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/dweep-desai/lensss/main/install.sh | bash
```

### Method 2: Homebrew

You can install Lensss as a cask from the official Homebrew tap:

```bash
# Add the tap
brew tap dweep-desai/tap

# Install Lensss
brew install --cask lensss
```

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Since Lensss is not Apple-notarized, macOS may block it on first launch. If you install via Homebrew, run the following command to remove the Gatekeeper quarantine flag:
> ```bash
> xattr -cr /Applications/Lensss.app
> ```

### Method 3: Manual Install (Pre-built DMG)

1. Download the latest `.dmg` from the [Releases](https://github.com/dweep-desai/lensss/releases) page.
2. Mount the DMG and drag `Lensss.app` to your `/Applications` folder.
3. Open Terminal and remove the quarantine attribute:
   ```bash
   xattr -cr /Applications/Lensss.app
   ```
4. Launch Lensss normally!

### Method 4: Build from Source

To build and compile Lensss locally on your Mac, you will need **Xcode Command Line Tools** (or Swift 5.9+).

1. Clone the repository:
   ```bash
   git clone https://github.com/dweep-desai/lensss.git
   cd lensss
   ```

2. Build and install the app directly into your `/Applications` directory using the automation script:
   ```bash
   chmod +x make_app.sh
   ./make_app.sh
   ```

## Usage

1. Launch **Lensss** from your `/Applications` folder.
2. Click the menu bar icon or press the hotkey to freeze the screen and start cropping.
3. Draw a selection box on screen.
4. From the floating menu bar, choose your mode:
   - **Image (Google Lens)**: Perform visual search on the cropped region.
   - **Text (Google Search)**: Run OCR and search the text on Google.
   - **Translate (Google Translate)**: Run OCR and translate the text.
5. To configure keyboard shortcuts, search languages, or login details, right-click the menu bar icon and select **Preferences...**.
