# Soft Drink Market Insight Challenge

The Soft Drink Market Insight Challenge is a data visualization competition focused on analyzing real-world survey data from Alimosho Local Government Area, Lagos, Nigeria. Participants explore soft drink availability, packaging, outlet types, and brand presence to uncover insights into market distribution, consumer trends, and brand dominance.

Your mission: Create an interactive or static dashboard (or series of visualizations) that reveals meaningful insights from the data and tells a clear story about soft drink distribution, brand dominance, and consumer trends.

We’re not just looking for numbers — we’re looking for insightful stories that show what this data says about market realities on the ground.

## Overview of Dataset
The dataset includes the following columns
1) Outlet Name and Type (e.g., supermarkets, kiosks, restaurants, shops)
2) Coordinate of Outlet (Latitude and Longitude)
3) Product Type(e.g., Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Bigi, etc.)
4) Product Display Type (e.g On shelf/carton In refridgerator/cooler, etc)
5) Package Type (e.g., PET bottle, can, glass)
6) Product Shelf Presence
7) Stock Condition

You’re free to clean, preprocess, and augment the dataset as needed.

### Evaluation Criteria
| Criteria        | Description | Weight   |
|-----------------|-------------|----------|
| Insightfulness  | Depth, originality, and relevance of insights discovered | `35%` |
| Clarity & Storytelling | How well your visualization communicates the findings | `30%` |
| Design & Usability | Layout aesthetics and intuitive presentation | `20%` |
| Technical Execution | Appropriate and effective use of visualization tools | `15%` |

**Submission deadline is November 30th, 2025.**

You can share your work in one of the following formats: 
- A screenshot of your dashboard or url link 
- A carousel of charts
- A link to you repo + screenshots
