# Architecture

Three-cluster hub-and-spoke fleet, provisioned in order:

- **Crossplane v2** handles GKE cluster provisioning (no claims — direct namespace-scoped XRs)
- **Flux GitOps** manages everything on each cluster once bootstrapped
- **GitHub Actions** bootstraps Flux on new GKE clusters, triggered by Flux notifications

# AI Orchestrator

The provisioning pipeline is driven by an **agentic loop** — a pure Python orchestrator (`orchestrator/main.py`, DSPy + LiteLLM, no subprocess CLI harness) that monitors, diagnoses, and fixes the cluster fleet without human intervention:

Two DSPy modules drive the loop:

- **AssessPhaseHealth** — a stateless `ChainOfThought` that evaluates pre-collected cluster state against the phase criteria in `orchestrator/phases/*.md`; returns a structured `PhaseHealthVerdict`
- **DiagnoseFailure** — a `ReAct` agent with live kubectl/file/git tools that investigates novel failures, edits manifests, and commits fixes to `develop` for Flux to reconcile (`git_commit_push` with a fetch+rebase guard)

The model chain is local-first with transparent LiteLLM fallback — local vLLM → OpenRouter → Vertex AI — configured via `ORCHESTRATOR_MODEL` / `ORCHESTRATOR_FALLBACK_MODELS`. The orchestrator tracks error signatures and escalates after 3 identical failures.

- GitHub organisation or personal account
