# 🚀 Gluetun-Arr-Stack: The Complete Self-Hosted Media Server

This Docker Compose file provides a robust, pre-configured solution for a complete **Arr Stack** media server setup, specifically designed for users facing **geo-restrictions** (like blocked metadata sources such as TMDB) or in regions with **strict torrent monitoring**.

1.  **Comprehensive Geo-Restriction Bypass:**
    * The **Arr Stack** (Sonarr/Radarr/Prowlarr) routes its search traffic through **Gluetun** (VPN), ensuring blocked indexers are accessible.
    * **Jellyfin** also routes its **metadata lookups** through the VPN, guaranteeing access to accurate and complete metadata (e.g., from TMDB), which is often blocked or unreliable in certain countries (such as India).

2.  **Privacy and Security:**
    * All download traffic (via **qBittorrent**) and media management traffic is securely routed through the **Gluetun VPN container**, significantly mitigating risks associated with torrent patrolling and ensuring download privacy.

## ⚠️ Prerequisites & Setup Instructions

Before you begin, you must configure **two essential files**. This is a critical step and the stack **will not work** without it.

1.  **`env_variables.env` file:** This file holds all your personal settings, like folder paths (`CONFIG_BASE_PATH`, `DOWNLOADS_PATH`, etc.) and your user/group IDs (`PUID`/`PGID`). You must edit this file and fill in all the required values.
2.  **`docker-compose.yml` file:** You must edit this file to enter your **VPN provider credentials** (like your private key or username/password) in the `gluetun` service section.

Pay close attention to the **comments** in both files (`# A comment looks like this`). They contain instructions, examples, and links to official guides (like the Gluetun wiki) that you will need to complete the setup.

### 1. VPN Requirement

**NOTE:** **A commercial VPN service is required** to use this setup. The Gluetun container needs valid credentials for a VPN provider.

### 2. Gluetun Configuration

* Refer to the official **Gluetun Wiki** (linked in the `docker-compose.yml` file) to find the specific environment variables and settings required for your chosen VPN provider.
* **Cyber Law Advisory:** It is highly recommended to **choose a VPN server located in a country with liberal cyber laws** to maximize your privacy and safety.

## ⚠️ IMPORTANT: Post-Setup Configuration

After all containers are running, you **must** configure Sonarr and Radarr to work with qBittorrent. Because they see the download folder differently, you must set up a **Remote Path Map**.

In **Sonarr/Radarr**, go to `Settings` > `Download Clients` > `qBittorrent`.

Scroll down and add a **Remote Path Mapping**:
* **Host:** `qbittorrent`
* **Remote Path:** `/downloads`
* **Local Path:** `/data/downloads`

> This tells Sonarr/Radarr: "When qBittorrent says a file is in `/downloads`, look for it in `/data/downloads` instead."
