# DEPRECATED

[Please use the official Todoist API REST Client instead](https://github.com/Doist/todoist-api-typescript).

## Old description:

This project is a wrapper for the official [Todoist REST API](https://developer.todoist.com/rest/v8/) written in typescript.  
Typings are included in the package.

## Installing / Getting started

First of all install the npm package, either with npm:

```shell
npm install todoist-api-ts
```

or with yarn:

```shell
yarn add todoist-api-ts
```

## Usage

The default export is a class:

```javascript
import TodoistApiREST from "todoist-api-ts";
```

To get started, create an instance by providing your API token.  
The API token can be created/found in your Todoist settings under the Integrations tab:

```javascript
const api = new TodoistApiREST(123456789);
```
 
## Features

### Promise-based

As todoist-api-ts uses [axios](https://github.com/axios/axios) under the hood, every API call will return a promise:

```javascript
import TodoistApiREST, { TodoistProject } from "todoist-api-ts";

const api = new TodoistApiREST(123456789);

// using promise
  api
    .getAllProjects()
    .then(res => console.log(res))
    .catch(err => console.error(err));

// using async/await
  const response: TodoistProject[] = await api.getAllProjects();
```
