GPS-independent offline navigation system, VOLANS MAPS, is a mobile application that uses inbuilt sensors like the accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer along with Kalman filtering algorithms to estimate the user’s current latitude and longitude coordinates. It is especially useful in areas without internet connectivity or GPS access.
