🚀 Installation Guide

1. Get the code

git clone https://github.com/better-auth-ui/better-auth-ui

Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.

cd better-auth-ui

Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.

2. Node.js

Easy Recommended

Prerequisites

Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
Node.js Node.js must be installed to use npm. The LTS version is recommended.

cd apps/docs

This project's files live in a subfolder, so move into it first.

npm install

Downloads and installs the libraries listed in package.json.

npm start

Starts the development/run server.

✅ After running the command, open the address shown in the terminal (usually something like http://localhost:3000) in your browser.

Better Auth UI provides complete authentication flows, account settings, plugin integrations, and reusable data APIs. Choose the UI that fits your application:

- **shadcn/ui** provides React components that you copy into your project.
- **HeroUI** provides packaged React components built with HeroUI v3.
- **Zaidan Solid** provides Solid components that you copy into your project.
- **React and Solid packages** provide hooks, queries, mutations, and server helpers for custom interfaces.

## Quick start

Install [Better Auth](https://www.better-auth.com/docs/installation). Then configure it for your application before you add a UI package.

### shadcn/ui

Add the authentication components to an existing shadcn/ui project:

```bash
bunx --bun shadcn@latest add @better-auth-ui/auth
```

### HeroUI

Install the HeroUI package and its Better Auth UI dependencies:

```bash
bun add @better-auth-ui/heroui@latest @better-auth-ui/react@latest @better-auth-ui/core@latest
```

Import the component styles in your global CSS file:

```css
@import "@better-auth-ui/heroui/styles";
```

### Zaidan Solid

Install the Solid data layer and its runtime dependencies:

```bash
bun add @better-auth-ui/solid @tanstack/solid-query better-auth solid-js

bunx --bun shadcn@latest add https://better-auth-ui.com/r/solid/auth.json
```

## Development

This repository uses [Bun](https://bun.sh) and [Nx](https://nx.dev).

Install the workspace dependencies:

bun install
```

Start the development projects:
