# 2.4 GHz IFA PCB Antenna (50 Ω)

This repository provides a **reusable 2.4 GHz Inverted-F Antenna (IFA)** for PCB-based RF designs.  
The antenna is designed for **50 Ω impedance matching** and intended for Wi-Fi and BLE applications in embedded systems.

The goal of this project is to maintain a **standardized, reusable PCB antenna library** that can be integrated across multiple hardware designs without redesigning the antenna each time.

## 📐 PCB Layout Guidelines
To achieve optimal antenna performance:
- Place the antenna at the **edge of the PCB**
- Maintain a **ground and copper keep-out region** beneath the antenna
- Route the RF feed using a **50 Ω controlled-impedance microstrip**
- Avoid vias, copper pours, or high-speed signals near the antenna
- Keep nearby components and metal objects away from the antenna region
- Provide a **π-matching network footprint** close to the RF feed for tuning

## 🔧 Impedance Matching
- Designed for **nominal 50 Ω**
- Final impedance may vary depending on:
  - PCB dimensions
  - Ground plane size
  - Stack-up and dielectric thickness
  - Enclosure and nearby materials
- Matching components allow fine tuning during validation
