# ReGenesees <img src="ReGenesees_LOGO_small.png" align="right" alt="ReGenesees.GUI logo" />

**ReGenesees (R Evolved Generalized Software for Sampling Estimates and Errors in Surveys)** is an R package for design-based and model-assisted analysis of complex sample surveys.

ReGenesees is the standard tool for calibration, estimation and sampling error assessment at **Istat (the Italian National Institute of Statistics)**.

## Installation
You can install the **development version** of ReGenesees from [GitHub](https://github.com/DiegoZardetto/ReGenesees) as follows:

install.packages("remotes")
remotes::install_github("DiegoZardetto/ReGenesees")

# Alternative
install.packages("pak")
pak::pak("DiegoZardetto/ReGenesees")
```

The **latest released version** of ReGenesees can be downloaded from the [Istat website](https://www.istat.it/en/classifications-and-tools/methods-and-software-of-the-statistical-process/process-phase/weighting-estimation-and-sampling-error-evaluation/regenesees/) or from the [European Commission platform Joinup](https://joinup.ec.europa.eu/solution/regenesees-system/releases) (where **older versions** are available too).
