# Wireless Live Streaming Plugin

## Overview
Wireless Live Streaming Plugin can stream live 360 movie to YouTube via RTMP directly from RICOH THETA.

## History
* ver 1.2.3 (2023/04/18): Bugfix related to dynamic stitching and zenith correction for THETA X.
* ver 1.2.2 (2022/09/06): Following settings are added for THETA X 1.20 or later.  
    * 4K (3840 x 2160) 15FPS  
    * 2K (1920 x 1080) 15FPS  
    * 1K (1024 x 576) 15FPS  
* ver 1.2.0 (2022/02/21): Support THETA X.
* ver 1.1.4 (2021/11/02): 
    * Removed bitrate measurement function.
    * RTMPS is supported.
    * Added 44.8KHz audio sample rate.
* ver 1.1.1 (2019/05/08): THETA Z1 is supported.
* ver.1.0.9 (2018/07/23): Initial version.

## Install
Android Studio installs apk after building automatically. Or use the following command after build.

```
adb install -r app-debug.apk
```

### Give permissions for this plug-in.

Using desktop viewing with an app as Vysor, open Settings app and turns on the permissions at "Apps"> "Wireless Live Streaming"> "Permissions"

## How to Use

If "stream name" can be used repeatedly, plug-in settings (input of "stream name" and "primary server URL") are required only once at the beginning. In this case, you can start streaming just by pressing the shutter button after setting streaming events on YouTube.

The following steps are for the first use.
We recommend that the THETA be close to fully charged before starting the steps.

1. Turn on the THETA.
2. Open RICOH THETA app on your Win/Mac.
3. Set this plug-in as an active plug-in from "File"> "Plug-in management..."
4. Connect THETA to Wireless-LAN by client mode.  
For example, let's assume that there is a THETA, a macOS machine, and an iPhone on the same wireless LAN.
5. Set an active plug-in.
   1. Open the THETA mobile app on an iOS / Android smartphone.
   1. Tap "Settings" at the right bottom corner.
   1. Confirm "Connection" is "Wi-Fi" or "Wi-Fi+Bluetooth".
   1. Tap "Camera settings".
   1. Tap "Plug-in".
   1. Select "Wireless Live Streaming".
6. Check the IP address of the camera
   1. Back to the Camera settings.
   1. Check the IP address of THETA on the smartphone app.  
   If you use macOS, type "dns-sd -q THETAYL01234567.local" in Terminal. Here "THETAYL01234567" is an example. Please change it to your serial number.
7. Setup "Stream Name" and "Primary Server URL" on [YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/my_live_events).
   1. Setup [YouTube Ingestion Settings in event](http://www.youtube.com/my_live_events) and check "Stream Name" and "Primary Server URL"
   1. Select the "Reusable stream key" in the "Select type of stream key" of the setting. This is the key point to omit the plug-in setting from the next.
8. Launch the plug-in.  
   Press the Mode button till LED2 turns white or launch plug-in from the smartphone app (RICOH THETA)
9. Open Web UI of the plug-in.  
    Open the URL (http://*ip-address*:8888) on the browser.  
    Here, *ip-address* is an an example. Change it to your THETA's IP address.
10. Enter streaming setting.
    1. Put "Primary Server URL" of YouTube to the "Server URL" box in Web UI.
    1. Put "Stream Name" of YouTube to the "Stream name/key" box in Web UI.
    1. Select Resolution (e.g. 4K(3840x2160) 30fps).
    1. Select Bit rates from the list.
    1. Select Audio sample rate (e.g., 48.0KHz).
    1. Press the "Fix streaming settings" button.
11. Prepare streaming on [YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/my_live_events).
    Please use the same stream name specified in step.7.
12. Start streaming from THETA
    Press the Shutter key or press the "Start streaming" button in the Web UI.
13. Check the preview on YouTube's "Live Control Room" or Facebook live.
14. Start streaming from YouTube.
15. On the air
16. Stop streaming from YouTube.
17. Stop streaming from THETA.
    Press the Shutter key or press the "Stop streaming" button in the Web UI.
