# ABOUT

Amazon SimpleDB Adapter for ActiveRecord for Rails3

# FEATURES

- All data saves in one sdb domain (each activerecord model class detected by special reserved column 'collection')
- Columns with numbers (integer and float) saves with special shift and constant size for correcting comparation in SELECT query.

# USAGE

install:

gem install activerecord-simpledb-adapter

config/database.yml:

defaults: &defaults
	  adapter: simpledb
	  access_key_id: KEY
	  secret_access_key: SECRET
    development:
	  <<: *defaults
	  domain_name: domain_name

for creating domain:
    
	rake db:create

model example:

Person < ActiveRecord::Base
	  columns_definition do |t|
	    t.string :login
	    t.integer :year, :limit => 4
	    t.boolean :active
	    t.string :from
	    t.float :price
	    t.integer :lock_version

t.timestamps
	  end
	end

using batches:

#default batch type is update
	Person.batch do
	  Person.create(some_valid_params)
	end
	#or for delete
	Person.batch(:delete) do
	  person_item.destroy
	end
