# AI Prompt Maestro: Advanced Research Prompting Guidelines

A practical guideline repository for researchers who use modern LLMs for academic ideation, literature review, research-gap discovery, structured extraction, writing support, and reproducible research workflows.

This repository was originally optimized for GPT-4o-style prompting. It has now been updated for newer LLM behavior: reasoning models, structured outputs, tool-enabled agents, multimodal input, long-context workflows, citation-aware research, and evaluation-driven prompt iteration.

## What Changed in the Modern Guide?

The new guide shifts from simple prompt wording to full research-task design:

1. Context engineering instead of only prompt engineering.
2. Schema-first output design for tables, extraction, and machine-readable answers.
3. Reasoning-aware prompting for complex research tasks.
4. Tool-aware prompting for web search, file analysis, citation checking, code execution, and database/API workflows.
5. Multimodal prompting for PDFs, figures, tables, charts, screenshots, and scanned material.
6. Verification loops for hallucination control and source-grounded claims.
7. Evaluation patterns for comparing prompt versions instead of guessing which one is better.
8. Safer use of AI for academic work, including limitations, citation discipline, and privacy boundaries.

## Recommended Usage

For new work, start with `ModernResearchPrompting.md`.

Use the older English/Persian files when you need simple, copy-paste prompt templates for brainstorming or quick research ideation. Use the modern guide when accuracy, structure, reproducibility, or tool use matters.

It is: define the task, provide the right context, choose the right model behavior, constrain the output, verify the result, and iterate with measurable criteria.
