Reddit Desktop
======================

This is a [Reddit](www.reddit.com) client designed for big screen. It is written with Electron so the article content is the same as you will see in a browser, and can be run on MacOS, Windows and Linux.

This software is currently usable but in a very early stage and it is one of my side projects. So contributions are very welcome.

Features
---------------------

Highlights:

* Three columns view. (Post list, article content, comments).
* Expand comments on need. Just show top level comments by default.

Normal features:

* View post list.
* View post.
* Upvote/downvote/like/delete post or comment.
* View comments.
* Post comments.
* View subscribed subreddits.
* Select subscribed subreddits.

Road Map
---------------------

Implement important missing features:

* Configuration.
* No need to login every time.
* Notice and profile.
* Post a new link.
* Subscribe/unsubscribe subreddits.

The structure of this three column view may also used on other websites that depends on external link such as Hacker News.

------------------

This project is written with [Electron](http://electron.atom.io/), [Vue.js](vuejs.org) and [Snoowrap](https://github.com/not-an-aardvark/snoowrap).

In order to run it with source, just download the project and run `npm install && npm start`.
