# Website for the FreeShow program

FreeShow is a free and open-source presentation program that makes it easy to show text on a big screen. It supports stage display, remote control, media, and many other advanced features. It is open-sourced meaning anyone can contribute.

FreeShow exists because the creator found that other similar programs were either expensive or complex to use. He wanted to create a program that is easy to use and affordable for everyone, from small churches to large venues. FreeShow is now used by people all over the world.

### Run & test locally

1. Clone the code in this repo
2. Install [Node.js](https://nodejs.org/en/download/)
3. In the terminal, run: `npm install`
4. To start the website, run: `npm run dev`

### Contribute to the docs

We need all the help we can get to keep the docs updated and relevant. All you need to understand is [Markdown](https://commonmark.org/help/).

Then go to the [docs files](https://github.com/ChurchApps/FreeShowWeb/tree/main/src/routes/docs) to edit the docs. Adding new pages can be done by creating a link for it in [this file](https://github.com/ChurchApps/FreeShowWeb/blob/main/src/lib/components/scripts/docs.ts).
