# binance-portfolio-rebalancing-bot

A Python bot that maintains a BTC-based crypto portfolio on Binance using the **Threshold Rebalancing Strategy**. Configuration is fully external via `tr-bot-config.xml` — no code edits required.

## Requirements

Install the Binance Exchange API Python client:

```bash
pip install python-binance
```

## Strategy

The bot buys altcoins (any number, configured in XML) using all available BTC, each with a target percentage of the total portfolio value (denominated in BTC). It continuously monitors deviation from target allocations and rebalances when any coin exceeds the configured deviation threshold.

## Example

Configuration in `tr-bot-config.xml`:

| ETH  | 20%      |
| BNB  | 20%      |
| XRP  | 20%      |
| SOL  | 20%      |
| TRX  | 20%      |

Rebalance percentage: `8%`

**Before rebalancing:**

ETH is sold (deviation > 8%), and BTC proceeds are used to buy BNB and TRX. A buy only executes if the order value exceeds the configured `minimumOrder` (in BTC). Email notifications are sent on every buy/sell.

## Configuration

Copy the example config and fill in your credentials:

cp tr-bot-config.xml.example tr-bot-config.xml
```

Edit `tr-bot-config.xml` (never commit this file — it is in `.gitignore`):

## Execution

Run the rebalancing bot:

```bash
python tr-bot.py
```

To check current balances at any time:

```bash
python tr-bot-balance.py
```
