# Installation Guide
git clone https://github.com/zalando-incubator/remora
Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.
cd remora
Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.
2. Docker
Easy Recommended- Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
- Docker Desktop Needed to build and run containers. Install it and keep it running in the background.
docker run -it --rm -p 9000:9000 -e KAFKA_ENDPOINT=127.0.0.1:9092 registry.opensource.zalan.do/buffalo/remora
Runs the built image as an actual container.
docker run -it --rm -p 9000:9000 -e KAFKA_ENDPOINT=127.0.0.1:9092 -e 'JAVA_OPTS=-Dlogback-root-level=INFO' registry.opensource.zalan.do/buffalo/remora
