# ClaudeGold

A loot & gold tracker for **WoW 3.3.5a (WotLK)** — built for **Warmane Icecrown**.

Most trackers value your loot at vendor price, but herbs, ore, cloth, gems and most
other farmables actually sell on the Auction House for far more. ClaudeGold values
everything you loot using — your choice — the **vendor price**, the **Auctionator
scanned buyout price**, or your own **custom prices**, so the gold/hour you see is
the gold/hour you'll actually make.

## Installation

1. Copy the `ClaudeGold` folder into your WoW directory:
   `<WoW 3.3.5a>\Interface\AddOns\ClaudeGold`
   (so that `ClaudeGold.toc` sits directly inside that folder)
2. (Recommended) Install [WotLK-Auctionator](https://github.com/alchem1ster/WotLK-Auctionator)
   and run a **Full Scan** at the Auction House now and then — that's where the AH
   prices come from.
3. Restart the game or log out/in. Make sure the addon is enabled on the character
   select AddOns list.

ClaudeGold works without Auctionator too — it simply falls back to vendor prices
until AH scan data exists.

## What it tracks

- Every item you loot ("You receive loot/item: ..."), including quest pushes.
- Raw coin you loot from mobs (including your share of group split money).
- Optionally, items you create (smelting, milling, prospecting, crafting) — off by
  default so you don't double-count materials you farmed yourself.

Data is kept **per character**. The session clock starts on your first loot and
only counts time you're online and not paused.

## Sessions

ClaudeGold is built around **farming sessions**:

- **Pause / resume** (`||` button, `/cg pause`) — freezes the clock so idle or
  non-farming time doesn't wreck your gold/hour. While paused, loot still counts
  toward your **all-time** total but not the current session.
- **New session** (`+` button, `/cg new`) — saves the current session to history
  and starts a fresh one. This is your "stop this run, start the next" button.
- **Custom names** — rename the current session (Rename footer button,
  `/cg rename Icecrown herbs`) or any saved one (right-click it in the list).
  Unnamed sessions show as "Session #N".
- **Locations** — each session automatically records the zone(s) you looted in,
  shown in the session's tooltip and detail view.
- **Saved sessions** — every past session is stored with its name, date,
  location, duration, gold/hour and the full list of items that made it up.
  Cycle the header view to **[ Saved ]**, then click a session to drill into its
  items; right-click one for rename / export / delete.
- **All-time** — a running lifetime total of everything you've ever looted on the
  character, independent of individual sessions.

## CSV export (Excel)

Export the current session, any saved session, or the all-time totals as CSV:
the **Export** footer button, the Options menu, right-click on a saved session,
or `/cg export` / `/cg export all`.

A window opens with the CSV text pre-selected — press **Ctrl+C**, then either
paste straight into Excel (use *Data → Text to Columns → comma* if it lands in
one column) or paste into Notepad and save as `.csv`. Includes a summary block
(duration, location, totals, gold/hour) plus one row per item with quality,
count, unit price, total and the price source used. Money is in decimal gold.

## Minimised bar

Hit the **`_`** button (or `/cg min`) to shrink the window to a thin bar showing
just your **gold/hour** and **session total**, with a pause/resume button. Drag it
anywhere; click it to expand again. Its position is remembered separately from the
main window.

## Price sources

For each item the value is resolved in this order:

1. **Per-item source override** — click the value on any item row and pick
   Vendor / Auctionator / Disenchant / Custom for that specific item.
2. **Custom price** — a fixed price you typed for that item.
3. **Automatic rules** (Options menu):
   - **Gray items → vendor price** (on by default — they can't be auctioned).
   - **Soulbound (BoP) items → vendor price** *(default)*, or their
     **disenchant value** (from Auctionator's dust/essence/shard prices),
     or no special handling.
4. The global price source (Options / `/cg source ...`):
   - **Auctionator buyout** *(default)* — last scanned buyout price; falls back to
     vendor price when there's no scan data for the item.
   - **Vendor price** — classic vendor-trash valuation.
   - **Highest of both** — whichever of the two is bigger.

Each row shows a small letter for the source used:
`A` = Auctionator, `V` = vendor, `C` = custom, `D` = disenchant.

## The window

- `/cg` toggles it. Drag to move, mouse wheel to scroll the list.
- Header buttons: **[ view ]** cycles Session → All-time → Saved sessions;
  **`||`** pause/resume; **`+`** new session; **`_`** minimise; **X** close.
- Shows session name, time, gold/hour, location, raw gold, items value, total.
- **Hover an item row** for its tooltip plus the unit price and source used.
- **Click an item's value** to choose its price source (V / A / D / C).
- **Right-click an item row** to set/clear a custom price for it.
- **Shift-click a row** to link the item in chat.
- Footer buttons change per view: Export / Rename / Discard (session),
  Export (all-time), Export / Rename / Delete (saved session).
- **Right-click the window** (or the Options button) for all settings.

Prices accept formats like `12g50s`, `3.5g`, `75s`, `3400c`, or a plain number
(read as gold).

## FAQ

**An item shows `--` or a vendor price even though it's worth a lot on the AH.**
Auctionator has no scan data for it yet. Open the AH and run a Full Scan
(Auctionator's "Scan" button), or set a custom price with right-click.

**Does it record what I buy, get in trades or mail?**
No — only loot, quest-pushed items, split coin, and (optionally) created items.
That's deliberate: it's a farm tracker, not a ledger of your whole economy.

**Where is my data saved?**
`WTF\Account\<ACCOUNT>\SavedVariables\ClaudeGold.lua` — settings and custom prices
are account-wide, loot totals are per character.
