# Intellio MCP Server

> Social intelligence for your AI assistant. A **remote MCP server** — zero install, OAuth login, no API keys.

Connect Intellio to **Claude, Codex, and any MCP client** to get social influence analysis and X‑to‑Threads AI publishing, right inside your AI assistant.

## Why it's different

- **⚡ Zero install** — Nothing to download or run. It's a remote HTTP server; connect with a single URL.
- **🔑 OAuth, no keys** — Sign in with Google once. No API keys to generate, copy, or rotate.

## Install

### claude.ai (web & desktop)

Settings → Connectors → **Add custom connector**, then paste:

### Codex

Codex connects to remote (Streamable HTTP) MCP servers via `~/.codex/config.toml`. Add:

Then sign in (OAuth):

On first use (any client) you'll sign in with Google. That's it — the tools appear automatically.

> **Tools vs. automation.** Every client (claude.ai, Claude Code, Codex) gets the **tools**. The clip‑to‑Obsidian **automation** ships as skill plugins — install them in **Claude Code** (instructions below). The skills write into your local Obsidian vault, so they run where the agent has local filesystem access. On clients that can't install these plugins, a skill is just a markdown procedure — grab [`SKILL.md`](./plugins/clip-to-obsidian/skills/clip-to-obsidian/SKILL.md) and feed it to your agent as a manual playbook.

## Always up to date

Because Intellio is a **remote** server, there's nothing to update yourself — new tools and improvements go live the moment we ship them. Your client just refreshes its tool list to pick them up:

- **Claude Code:** start a new session (or restart). The URL stays the same — no need to re‑add.
- **claude.ai (web & desktop):** new tools usually appear automatically; if not, toggle the connector off/on in Settings → Connectors, or open a new chat.
- **Codex:** restart Codex (or reload the MCP server) to refresh the tool list.

No re‑install, no re‑login, no URL change — the same connection keeps working.

## Tools

| Tool | What it does |
|------|--------------|
| `influence_analyze_account` | Trigger an AI influence analysis for any Threads, X, or Instagram account. |
| `influence_account_history` | Pull time‑series history of how an account's metrics changed over time. |
| `influence_job_status` | Poll an analysis job by ID until it completes. |
| `x_to_threads_publish` | Repost an X tweet to Threads — scraped, AI‑rewritten in your chosen style, published. |
| `clip_post_to_obsidian` | Clip an X or LinkedIn post — text + images — into a ready‑to‑save Obsidian markdown draft. |

## Clip social posts to Obsidian

`clip_post_to_obsidian` turns an X or LinkedIn post into a structured **Obsidian clipping**. Paste a post URL; your assistant fetches the text and images and hands back a ready‑to‑save markdown draft, the image URLs, and the exact next steps.

Intellio is a remote server, so it never touches your files — it returns the content, and your **client** (e.g. Claude Code) writes it into your vault. With the **clip-to-obsidian plugin** installed, that whole local half runs automatically:

1. **You:** *"Clip this post into my vault: `https://x.com/…/status/…`"*
2. **`clip-to-obsidian` skill** calls `clip_post_to_obsidian`, then resolves your vault, downloads the images to `Attachments/`, and saves the note to `Clippings/<date>-<title>.md` with `status: inbox`
3. **`wiki-ingest`** runs automatically (if installed) to compile the raw clipping into your knowledge base — classified, cross‑linked, with the images embedded

No copy‑pasting drafts, no manual file writes — give a URL, get a landed (and compiled) note.

### Install

First connect the MCP server (gives you the `clip_post_to_obsidian` tool):

Then add the two companion skill plugins from this repo's marketplace — [`clip-to-obsidian`](./plugins/clip-to-obsidian/skills/clip-to-obsidian/SKILL.md) orchestrates the landing, [`wiki-ingest`](./plugins/wiki-ingest/skills/wiki-ingest/SKILL.md) compiles:

### What you need

- **[Obsidian](https://obsidian.md)** — a `Clippings/` folder marks the landing zone (the skill auto‑completes when it finds one); `Attachments/` holds the images
- Point **`OBSIDIAN_VAULT`** (or the shared `WIKI_VAULT`) at your vault root so the skill knows where to write
- Copy the starter [`taxonomy.yaml`](./plugins/wiki-ingest/templates/taxonomy.yaml) + [`SCHEMA.md`](./plugins/wiki-ingest/templates/SCHEMA.md) into your vault

## Threads publishing setup

`x_to_threads_publish` needs Threads credentials. The easiest way is to connect your Threads account once in the [Intellio web app](https://intellio.cc) (Settings → X‑to‑Threads → "Threads API token") — after that the tool publishes using your bound token automatically.
