# Translucent Windhawk Fix

A targeted solution for translucent window effects in Windows that prevents visual glitches in other applications.

## Overview

This Windhawk mod applies translucent window effects exclusively to Windows system components, preventing the black boxes and disappearing text issues that occur in applications like Excel and Word when using standard translucent window mods.

### Affected Applications

This mod **only** applies translucent effects to:
- `explorer.exe` (File Explorer)
- `StartMenuExperienceHost.exe` (Start Menu)
- `SearchHost.exe` (Windows Search)

All other applications remain unaffected, ensuring normal functionality across your system.

## Installation

### Prerequisites
- [Windhawk](https://windhawk.net/) must be installed on your system

### Steps

1. **Open Windhawk**
   - Launch the Windhawk application
   - Navigate to the home menu

2. **Create New Mod**
   - Click **"Create a new mod"** in the bottom right corner

3. **Add the Code**
   - Open the `windhawk-tran-swin-fix.txt` file
   - Copy all the code
   - Paste it into the `mod.wh.cpp` editor window

4. **Compile and Activate**
   - Click **"Compile mod"**
   - Click **"Exit editing mode"**
   - Enable the mod in your Windhawk mod list

5. **Enjoy!**
   - Your translucent effects are now active without breaking other applications
