๐ Installation Guide
1. Get the code
git clone https://github.com/OthersideAI/self-operating-computer
Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.
cd self-operating-computer
Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.
2. Official Install Script
Easy RecommendedPrerequisites
pip install self-operating-computer
Installs the package published on PyPI directly โ no need to clone the source.
brew install portaudio
Installs the pre-built package via Homebrew โ no source build required.
sudo apt install portaudio19-dev python3-pyaudio
Installs directly from the APT package repository (Debian/Ubuntu-based).
After installing, open a new terminal and run the program's version command (e.g. --version) to confirm it worked.

3. Python
EasyPrerequisites
pip install self-operating-computer
Installs the package published on PyPI directly โ no need to clone the source.
pip install -r requirements-audio.txt
Installs the Python libraries listed in requirements.txt (or similar).
If it runs without errors and prints output in the terminal, it worked.
