## proTracker App

You can keep your finances in order, track by account, type(expense/income), category, 
advanced filtering and reporting summaries, stats and charts, it's simple and straight forward.

This tool is available and free to use on <a href="https://www.protracker.io">protracker.io</a>.

### Rule Fields

Rule Fields are used to create rules for the transactions importing. 
There are 3 types of fields: Date, Value, Text. 
The 'Title' field should correspond to the column name from the CSV file. 
Based on these Rule Fields you can create conditions for the Rules.

### Rules

Rules allows setting type, category, merging fields for the transactions if the conditions are met. 
These rules are applied during the transactions importing. 
The rules are grouped into Rule Groups and the Rule Groups can be selected into the importing tool.
There are 3 types of rules: transaction_type, transaction_category, 
transaction_combine (setting type, category, merging fields if the conditions are met).

### Rule Groups

Rule Groups are grouping rules in a specific order. All rules are applied based on the order.

## Installation

Prerequisite: You need to have [Composer](https://getcomposer.org/download/) installed on your machine.

1. Clone the repository `git clone https://github.com/vicpenchev/proTracker.git {project_folder}/`
2. `cd {project_folder}`
3. `composer install --ignore-platform-reqs`
4. Copy .env.example -> .env
5. `./vendor/bin/sail up -d`
6. `./vendor/bin/sail artisan migrate`
7. If you want to have testing data - Users, Accounts, Categories, Transactions execute `./vendor/bin/sail artisan db:seed --class=DatabaseSeeder`
   - Test user for login to the panel:
     - email: `protracker@protracker.test`
     - password: `111111`
   - The transactions import functionality can be tested with this [example.csv](./public/example.csv) file.

## Features

- Currency converting feature. If there are accounts in different currencies 
we need to have a way to convert them into one currency. There will be a setting for choosing the 'main' currency.
- Imports page. There will be Imports page with all successful/unsuccessful imports and 
transactions related ot it. There will be logs/information about errors/issues during the import. 
- CSV and PDF exporting feature. Exporting of transactions, chrats and stats.
- Save Filter feature. There will be a functionality to save transaction filter 
and you'll be able to load all saved filters for better reporting user experience.
- Save/Change User settings feature. There will be different types of settings like show/hide stats 
and charts on the Transaction page, Choose main currency etc.
- API with CRUD operations for accounts/transactions/categories. There will be CSV import endpoint as well.
- Dashboard changes - there will be dynamic widgets that can be setup by the user into the User Settings Page.
- Fixing some small issues with the responsive design.
