# Installation Guide

1. Get the code

git clone https://github.com/mdeverdelhan/ta4j-origins

Downloads the entire project code from GitHub to your computer.

cd ta4j-origins

Moves into the project folder you just downloaded.

2. Maven (Java)

Medium Recommended

Prerequisites

Git Needed to download the project code from GitHub.
JDK (Java) Required to build and run Java projects.
Maven The build tool used for the mvn command.

mvn clean install

Installs dependencies and builds the project using Maven.

✅ A BUILD SUCCESS message means it worked. The output is created under target/.

This repository is kept for archival purposes and may be used as documentation for ta4j 0.9 (which is a stable version).

Ta4j is an open source Java library for [technical analysis](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technical_analysis). It provides the basic components for creation, evaluation and execution of trading strategies.

### Maven configuration

Ta4j is available on [Maven Central](http://search.maven.org/#search|ga|1|a%3A%22ta4j%22). You just have to add the following dependency in your `pom.xml` file.

    <artifactId>ta4j</artifactId>

```

For ***snapshots***, add the following repository to your `pom.xml` file.
```xml
<repository>
    <id>sonatype snapshots</id>
    <url>https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots</url>
</repository>
```
The current snapshot version is `0.10-SNAPSHOT`.
