# Fiction.Tools

This is the source code for the website https://fiction.tools, which is a growing list of tools 
for authors at every stage of the writing process.

If you know of another tool that should be added, please submit a PR or open an issue!

## Development

This project was bootstrapped with [Create React 
App](https://github.com/facebook/create-react-app). Run `yarn start` to start the app in
development mode after cloning the repo. Open [http://localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000)
to view it in the browser.

### Data structure

The following points of interest exist in the database:

* [/public/logos](https://github.com/indentlabs/fiction-tools/tree/main/public/logos) contains square logo images for each tool
* [/public/screenshots](https://github.com/indentlabs/fiction-tools/tree/main/public/screenshots) contains screenshots for each tool
* [/src/data](https://github.com/indentlabs/fiction-tools/tree/main/src/data) contains JSON files for each top-level topic of tools

To add a new tool, please include its information in the relevant JSON file and a screenshot or logo (if applicable).

To fork this repo and build a new list of tools for another topic, you'll also want to customize the page text in [App.js](https://github.com/indentlabs/fiction-tools/blob/main/src/App.js).
